LEDTonic is a fresh brand in the LED grow light category. We manufacture and sell grow lights for all indoor growing purposes. Whether you're growing cannabis, peppers, tomatoes, basil, or any other plant, we have the grow light for you.
We grow ourselves so we know what's needed from a modern grow light. Our focus is on performance, useability, and being beginner friendly. We want to provide everyone with the right tools to get started with indoor growing!
Growing indoors, regardless of plant type, is both exciting and rewarding. It's a theraputical hobby where you get to see the work of your own two hands spring to life and provide you with organic and fresh harvest. Growing your own buds, herbs, or vegetables makes you self-sustainable, less dependant on others' supply and you know exactly what you consume.
All light consists of photons. Photons are tiny particles that are not visible to our eyes. All photons have a wavelength and contain energy. Photons are emitted from all light sources; the sun, ceiling lamps, car headlights, a smartphone screen, and of course, grow lights. The more photons are emitted, the more intense the light will appear. Different types of plants have different light intensity requirements. Smaller plants like basil, arugula, and microgreens do well with little light (low intensity) while larger plants like cannabis, tomatoes, and peppers will need much higher quantities of light. Photon density is measured in PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) and the unit is µmol/m2/s (micromoles per square meter per second). Small plants typically prefer 100-300 PPFD while larger plats need 300-600 PPFD.

Grow lights come in all shapes, forms, and sizes. The general rule is that the more light and bigger coverage area (light footprint) is required, the bigger size and higher output the light needs to have.
The first question you should ask yourself is: what plants am I going to grow and how large area will they cover?
Growing one single plant of basil (low light requirement) only needs a small light producing a small coverage area with low intensity.
However, filling a 3x3' (1x1 meter) tent with several cannabis plants will require a grow light with a large coverage area (light footprint) and high light output.

LEDTonic started out when we ourselves were looking for grow lights but got more and more frustrated about the limited high-performance options in the beginner category and price range. We realized that most grow light brands available online in US and UK are based in China and they have limited experience with actual indoor growing. As these companies could only compete with price, the quality of their lamps suffered. They were either poorly built, unsafe, had "BLURPLE" light spectrums, or otherwise poorly performing. We wanted to be different. We focus on durable build, electrical safety, balanced light spectrum, and overall good performance. We want to be the obvious choice for people who are enthusiastic about growing and want to experience the joy of being their own producer.
