LEDTonic Z2

Great beginner lamp priced at $100. It's a 50W, durable, plug & play lamp with a driver supporting 110-240V (US, Canada, EU, UK, Asia, Australia, New Zealand) although it comes with a C13 US B-type power chord. The setup process takes less than a minute. The included metal hanger needs to be connected to the lamp then the lamp needs to be adjusted for distance between lamp and plant(s). Typically between 12-24" distance depending on the plant's species and maturity.

The lamp draws 50W and has efficient hardware while producing a fair color spectrum. Its limitation is its light coverage area. Due to the lamp's small and compact size as well as its focusing lenses, it covers a rather small area, although it does so with high light intensity (PAR/PPFD) suitable even for high-light plants like cannabis, tomatoes, and peppers.

The coverage area for one Z2 lamp is 2x2' (60x60 cm) during veg for high-light plants.
During flowering, the area covered with high enough light intensity is 1.5x1.5' (45x45 cm). Typically covering 1-2 large plants.

The lamp can be used in larger areas and more plants with decent result but the light coverage at the edges will be less than ideal and could hinder your plants' maximum growth potential. If you're a beginner, there will, however, likely be other factors limiting your plants such as plant management, nutrient supply, temperature, etc. All of these skills you'll learn to master as you become a more experienced grower.

LEDTonic Z5

More power, more light, yet simple and efficient. Drawing more than twice the power of the Z2, 112W, the Z5 is a step up in terms of light output. Similar build, diodes, spectrum and efficiceny as the Z2 but with more than twice the light output (PAR/PPFD).
It also runs with 110-240V drivers that makes it suitable for all major markets (US, Canada, EU, UK, Asia, Australia, New Zealand)) and like the Z2, it also comes with a C13 US B-type power chord.
The setup process takes less than a minute. The included metal hanger needs to be connected to the lamp then the lamp needs to be adjusted for distance between lamp and plant(s). Typically between 12-24" distance depending on the plant's species and maturity.

The Z5 has two buttons: veg & flower (bloom). The veg button turns on the blue and most white diodes while the flower button turns on all red diodes and some white.
The ability to control how much light the lamp emits is useful when working in tight spaces or when low intensity light is required (for clones, seedlings).
At maximum performance, the Z5 emits a light intensity of over PPFD 900 µmol/m2/s in the center spot at 12" height to well stimulate photosynthesis even in high-light requiring plants like cannabis, tomatoes, and peppers.

The coverage area for one Z5 lamp is 2.5x2.5' (75x75 cm) during veg for high-light plants.
During flowering, the area covered with high enough light intensity is 2x2' (60x60 cm). Typically covering 1-4 large plants.
