Intro
The LEDTonic Q2 works well with all types of plants. It is a relatively small and low-power LED grow light, running at 36W. We designed this light to be versatile and convenient for small grow spaces. Whether it's a window sill grow with houseplants, a seedling station for vegetables, or a small tent/closet cannabis grow, the Q2 fits the bill. With its efficient Samsung diodes and minimalistic build it emits plenty of light per watt consumed making it almost unnoticeable on the electricity bill.
It has an E27 base (also fits E26) which allows it to be used with any E26 or E27 lamp base/holder, or with it's included lamp holder + cord.
The lamp will cover an area of between 1x1' (30x30 cm) to 2x2' (60x60 cm) with light. As light intensity varies with distance, the higher the Q2 is hung above plants, the larger area it will cover, albeit with lower intensity (as light spreads over a larger area). Different plants grow well when given different light intensity levels.

To generalize, plants can be divided into three categories:
Low-light plants (up to 150 PPFD): microgreens and most houseplants. Also cuttings and clones require low-intense light while they develop. Low-light plants are typically small in size and non-fruiting.
Medium-light plants (around 300 PPFD): Most vegetables like leafy greens (salads, arugula, spinach), herbs (basil, peppermint, dill weed), and strawberries fall within this category. Larger plants like tomato and peppers can be grown with medium light intensity but their growth potential will be slightly reduced as they can take more light.
High-light plants (around 500 PPFD): Large, mature, fruiting vegetable plants like tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, eggplant, and citrus trees thrive with high-light intensity. 
Ultra high-light plants (above 600 PPFD): Plans that grow in the wild in very sunny climates like marijuana, maize, cacti, and succulents have grown accustom to high-light intensity and they expects it when grown indoors, too.

Hanging the Q2
General distance recommendations for low-light plants (microgreens, leafy greens), medium-light plants (vegetables, herbs), and high-light plants (cannabis).
Please refer to the PPFD maps below for exact PPFD levels in various areas.

Low-light plants, cuttings, clones (50-100 PPFD): 22-26” (55-65 cm)
Seedling stage (100-200 PPFD): 18-22" (45-55 cm)
Early vegetative stage: (200-300 PPFD): 13” (32 cm)
Medium-light plants & late vegetative stage (~400 PPFD): 9” (23 cm)
Early flowering stage (~500 PPFD): 7" (17 cm)
Late flowering stage (~600(+) PPFD): 6" (15 cm)



Coverage area
Low-light plants & seedlings/clones: The Q2 will cover a 2x2’ (60x60 cm) area well for low-light plants (microgreens, houseplants) and cannabis plants in their seedling/clone stage at a 16” distance from canopy.
Medium-light plants & vegetative stage: The Q2 will cover a 1.5x1.5’ (~45x45 cm) area well for medium-light plants (leafy greens, salads, vegetables, herbs) and cannabis plants in their vegetative stage at 9” distance from canopy. 
High-light plants & flowering stage: The Q7 will cover a 1.3x1.3’ (~40x40 cm) area well for cannabis plants in their flowering stage at a 6” distance from canopy.
